the driving force

so much has changed since the last time i posted.. and my life is going to have another major change in the coming days.. one that my wife and i usually say will change our lives forever.. because of this upcoming change, we have made a vow to ourselves to be better people.. to push ourselves more.. and to really find ways wherein we would be able to live an even better life..

such is the power of this upcoming change.. it has become our driving force.. especially for me.. i dont want to even contemplate the idea that i will fail.. i know for this i will succeed..

the more things change..

new president, new promises, new direction, new opposition.. wait.. new opposition?

haha.. give me a break.. it was really funny watching the leftists decry the current administration as being the same as the old one.. what the HELL do they want to hear from people in power? that they will give away all the money to the poor and oppressed? they will shut down all corporations and banks so that their funds and properties will be divested to the masses?

wow.. talk about being jaded.. i wonder if these leftist @$$#@l35 have even done anything remotely close to helping the masses that they always seem to be saying are oppressed.. seems that they are always good for nothing but rallies and simple minded speeches that nothing is ever good enough..

automated elections part II

so the recent automated elections was an incredible success.. about 70-80% of the results was out in just a couple of days.. the proclamation of the local winners was over overnight or not more than three days.. incredible.. quick results, quick proclamation finally.. no more time for cheating.. right??

WRONG. this was only true for the local positions.. for the national positions or for the meat of the whole election which are the positions of president and vice president, for some unknown, strange, stupid reason, the proclamation of the winners have to be done by a collection of congress and the senate.. WHAT THE HELL FOR?!? for the life of us all, why can't COMELEC, the governing body which handled the election do the job of counting all the votes and proclaim the winner? what gives all these old men who clearly have no understanding of the way IT technology work have the right to go ahead and waste the whole point of going automated (which is to have the results really really quick) in the elections?

the way they are proceeding, from what i saw in some news casts, they want to count the results that come from each ER or ballot box manually.. bringing each stupid ballot box physically into their building and having it opened in front of them and reading the results out loud one by one.. WOW.. talk about outdated.. then there would be like a whole crowd of them old people peering over each others shoulders trying to see if the results being read was true or not.. talk about having so many areas of error..

after one week of canvassing of results i think they were able to get their count up to about the tens of thousands.. holy crap.. the automated results was already in the tens of millions after one week.. incredible the way their minds work.. does this mean that they do not believe that any of the results were credible or real?! why just do the manual way of counting the results for the president and vice president? shouldn't they go over ALL the positions, maybe there was cheating there too!? let's just have a do-over and make the whole freaking elections manual again.. since there is apparently no reason for it to go automated in the first place.. what a wonderful way of wasting all our tax money.. a whole bunch of lazy ass, backward people..

the technology is already there.. please for the love of everything that is good and holy, use it.. someone with half a brain should have moved the official congress canvassing to a week after the elections then made use of the technology to finish everything in three days maximum.. damn.. it is such a disappointment..

automated elections

i dont get what all the fuss is about automated elections.. about how hard it is for the people to fill up.. that it is about 3 feet (give or take?) long.. its like all the doubters actually WANT to go back to manual voting.. the absurdity!

honestly, i myself have not seen the actual ballots.. but from what i can determine is it is going to be very similar to a multiple choice exam or test that majority of us had in school.. just follow some very simple steps..
  1. look for the candidate's name.. the one that you want to vote for (since all the names are listed, it would be MUCH easier to do this instead of having to write down their name/s which could lead to your vote being invalidated if you spell it wrong)
  2. look for the small circle before the name
  3. shade the circle, be careful to shade the whole circle only.. and remember the basic rule in coloring when we were in elementary.. shade between the lines!!
  4. repeat steps 1 to 3 for all the positions
  5. after shading all the circles, feed the paper to the machine.. i assume that there will be somebody to assist you in feeding the paper otherwise then maybe this is where the confusion could come in..
now, HOW HARD COULD THAT BE!??!!? everything is so damn simple.. its not like we're asking everybody to start reading the computer codes or learn to digitize their thoughts right?! i cant help but wonder where all this crap that some senators or the media is saying that a vast majority of the populace dont know how to use it.. maybe if they spent more time educating the voters instead of terrorizing them it would be more help.. some people just want to dumb down the populace.. cmon we are living in the digital age and you seriously want to go back to manual voting/counting? what a way to move forward..

personal vow

reading this has helped strengthen my resolve.. i will stop eating shark fins soup.. i know that it will be hard and be a big sacrifice on my part but the way that the sharks fin is being harvested is just too much.. cutting off the fins and tail of the animal then just throwing it back to the ocean to die just tugs at me.. plus the fact that sharks are not really being farmed like the cows, pigs or chickens means that in a few years time there might not be enough sharks to go around..

i know it's a small thing, but its a step in the right direction.. now all that is needed is to convert several hundred thousand more people who eat shark fins soup..
